Refund and cancellation policy.

Payments are final and non-refundable. How the free trial, monthly renewal, sales tax and online cancellation work.

Last updated October 21, 2026 · Version 2026-10-21

At a glance

Free trial
14 days with up to 3 bank connections. No payment method needed. It never turns into a paid plan on its own; use it to evaluate Boolance before you pay.
What renews
The paid plan you choose for a workspace: Starter ($9/month), Builder ($19/month), or Studio ($29/month), in US dollars.
When it renews
Every month from the date you subscribe, until you cancel.
What you pay
The plan price plus applicable sales tax, calculated at checkout and on each renewal. We tell you 7 to 30 days before a price increase takes effect.
How to cancel
Online, any time: Settings → Billing → Manage billing. No call or email needed.
When cancellation takes effect
At the end of the current paid period. You keep access until then and aren’t charged again.
Refunds
None. All payments are final and non-refundable. We correct billing errors we make.

Payments are final

All payments are final and non-refundable. We don’t refund partial billing periods, unused time or features, downgrades, cancellation, company closure or account deletion.

The free trial, which needs no payment method, is how you evaluate Boolance before you pay. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.

Nothing in this policy limits a right that applicable law gives you and does not allow to be waived.

Billing errors

We correct billing errors we make, such as charging you twice for the same period or charging a renewal after your cancellation took effect. Email support@boolance.com with the workspace name and the date and amount of the charge. Once we confirm the error, we refund the amount charged in error to the original payment method; your bank’s processing time can vary. Please don’t send full card numbers.

Free trial

Your first workspace starts with a 14-day free trial that includes up to 3 bank connections. One free trial is available per person. You don’t enter a payment method for the trial, so nothing is charged when it ends.

The trial does not convert to a paid plan. To keep bank sync after the trial, the workspace owner chooses a plan. If no plan is chosen, the steps in When a plan or trial ends apply.

Monthly renewal and sales tax

When you choose a plan, you are charged its monthly price plus applicable sales tax when you subscribe, and again at the start of each monthly period until you cancel. Choosing a plan during the free trial ends the trial and starts billing right away.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. We collect sales tax where we are registered to collect it, currently Texas; it is calculated at checkout and on each renewal from the billing address checkout asks for. If your organization is exempt from Texas sales tax, send a valid exemption certificate to support@boolance.com. Elsewhere, you are responsible for any use or similar tax you owe.

Payments are processed by Stripe through our billing provider, CashSDK. Only a workspace owner can choose, change or cancel the workspace’s plan. Plan changes made in the billing portal take effect as the portal shows before you confirm.

How to cancel

  1. Sign in to Boolance as the workspace owner.
  2. Open Settings, then Billing.
  3. Choose Manage billing to open the secure billing portal.
  4. Cancel your plan there. The portal shows the date your plan ends.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep your plan until then and won’t be charged again. If you plan to close a company, cancel its plan first. If you can’t sign in, email support@boolance.com and we’ll help.

When a plan or trial ends

When a canceled plan reaches the end of its paid period, a paid plan ends because a payment wasn’t completed, or a free trial ends without a plan:

  • bank sync stops and new bank connections aren’t allowed;
  • Boolance removes the workspace’s bank connections with Plaid;
  • your bookkeeping records, imported transactions, receipts and reports stay in your workspace and are not deleted; and
  • you can choose a plan later and connect your banks again.

When a plan with fewer bank connections takes effect while more banks are connected, we email the workspace owner. Disconnect the extra banks or choose a larger plan within 7 days; after that, Boolance removes the most recently added connections above the plan’s limit. Imported transactions and bookkeeping records stay.

Ending a plan doesn’t delete your account or company. Owners can close a company and users can delete their account from settings, as described in the Privacy notice.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we email the workspace owner and you keep your plan for a 7-day grace period while our payment providers retry the charge. Update your payment method in Billing settings. If payment still isn’t confirmed after the grace period, the steps in When a plan or trial ends apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in Boolance before it applies to your plan. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
