Who we are
Kimeur Labs, LLC operates Boolance, bookkeeping software for developers and software businesses. This notice covers our website, application, and the integrations you choose to use. Contact us at admin@boolance.com about this notice or your information.
Information we use
You provide account details such as your name and email, company information (including tax details you choose to enter), preferences, and bookkeeping records. These can include customers, vendors, revenue, expenses, document records, receipt links, and data you import. We store password hashes rather than your readable Boolance password.
We also process membership and permission records, sign-in and security information, audit history, and messages you send for support. Our hosting and service providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect their services.
Bank connections
Where bank connections are available, Boolance uses Plaid to connect the financial accounts you authorize. Depending on your institution and consent, we receive account names, types, masked account numbers, balances, and transaction details such as dates, amounts, descriptions, counterparties, and categories. We request up to two years of transaction history; availability varies by institution.
Bank sign-in takes place through Plaid or your financial institution. Boolance does not receive your bank sign-in password. Plaid also processes information under its own End User Privacy Policy. Review the accounts and permissions shown in Plaid Link before connecting.
How we use information
We use information to run your account, import and organize business activity, support expense categorization and reconciliation, produce financial reports, and preserve bookkeeping audit history. We also use it to manage access, protect the service, provide support, send account and security messages, and manage subscription access where enabled. We do not sell Plaid-sourced financial data.
Cookies and browser storage
Boolance uses session cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage for preferences and temporary flows such as invitations and returning from bank linking. Blocking this storage can prevent those features from working. Embedded providers may use their own cookies or storage as described in their privacy notices.
Disconnecting and keeping records
Disconnecting a bank stops new imports and starts removal of the provider connection. Boolance clears the stored bank access credential after Plaid confirms removal; a failed removal is retried. Previously imported transactions, bookkeeping entries, and audit history remain. Disconnecting is not a request to delete your bookkeeping records or all data held by Plaid.
We retain account and bookkeeping information to provide the service, preserve financial records, and address security, dispute, and legal requirements. There is no single automatic deletion period for all records. Contact us about deletion or retention of a particular record; we will review the request and explain any information that needs to remain.
Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to connect a bank, disconnect existing connections, manage company access where your role permits, and use available report exports. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, email admin@boolance.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over company records before acting. Available rights and limits depend on applicable law and the records involved.
For information held independently by Plaid, use Plaid Portal or Plaid’s privacy request process. Removing access there does not remove records already imported into Boolance.
